IELTS Speaking

This is the fourth module for students speaking module might be conducted 7 days after and before of Reading, Listening and Writing. The test is 11 to 14 minutes long with three parts. The Format is the same for both test takers.

In the speaking test, You have a discussion with a certified Examiner. Everything is recorded by Examiner.

In the first part, the questions are related to one’s interest, family, City, like, dislike, Profession and Study background. Students need to elaborate answers in 3-4 lines.

In the second round, a monologue is given to a student for that he gets 1 minute for preparation and he has to speak till 2 minutes on that topic. The topic would be anything your past experience, visit or experience of any occasion, city so on.

In third part questions are known as cross questing and follow up questions. Those are designed according to cue card. Alike First Part in third part also student must give complete elaborated answers.

PART 1.GENERAL QUESTIONS (INTRO & INTERVIEW):

In this part, the examiner will introduce himself to you and checks the student identity. After this, the examiner will ask you a few general questions on some familiar topics such as home, family, studies, work, interest and aim. This part takes 4-5 minutes.

This part focuses on the level of communication and information on everyday topics of the student .

PART 2. CUE CARD:

In this, the examiner will give a cue topic to the student which will conduct for 3 minutes in which 1 minute will be given for the preparation with a pencil and paper and 2 minutes for talking. In this examiner will stop you from talking before or when 2minutes will be completed. This topic can be relevant or irrelevant too.

This part focuses on the ability to talk for long on a given topic using formal language and good idea. It is like telling their own experience to speak for long turn.

PART 3. CROSS QUESTIONING or FOLLOW UPS:

In this part, the examiner will ask you a few questions related to the part 2. It is basically discussion part where examiner will discuss some point with you related to the part 2.  It will take 4-5 minutes.

This part focuses on the ability to justify, discuss, analyse and how you express about the issue
