ACADEMIC IELTS VS GT IELTS

IELTS- ACADEMIC 

Academic IELTS is for university students who want to apply for admission in universities and programs in which english is the mean instructions. For example, if a student wants to go to Australia for his further higher studies then he have to do IELTS academic so that he can take admission in universities. On the bases of his bands he will be able to enter the foreign land such as Australia, Canada, UK, America and  New Zealand.

Secondly, in academic IELTS reading and writing module is different as it is not related to communicative experience of english speakers.

Third, in academic IELTS all the content is taken from the academic textbooks, journal and relevant magazine and newspaper to check ones comprehension skills.

Reading module scored differently in academic IELTS as if you got 30 out 40 then you will get 7.0 bands in reading whereas in GT it is different.
As in writing of academic there are two tasks are given writing task 1 is data analysis and writing task 2 is essay writing.

IELTS - GENERAL TRAINING 

General training IELTS is for the immigration and employment who wants to apply for permission of doing any job and business in the foreign land such as Australia, Canada,UK, USA, Ireland, New Zealand, etc. For example, an individual is doing general training IELTS so that he can do his business in Australia.

Secondly, in general training IELTS reading and writing is different from the academic IELTS.

Third, in GT IELTS all the content is taken from the advertisements, magazines, guidebooks, notices, or what working people might runs in employee manuals.

Reading module scored differently in general IELTS as if you got 30 out 40 then you will get 6.0 bands in the reading whereas in Academic it is different.
While in GT writing module is also different as in writing task 1 there will be formal or informal letter writing and writing task 2 is the same as academic writing task 2.
